In Nigeria, the lack of recent, reliable data on healthcare facilities made it difficult to plan or improve services. Together with Orodata Science, we launched the Frontline Investigative Programme, training citizen reporters to use mobile tools we helped create to gather real-time data from over 350 Primary Health Centres nationwide. This data powers CheckMyPHC, a public platform offering a clear view of Nigeria’s healthcare infrastructure. By combining citizen-led data collection and technology, the initiative is helping government, media, and communities make evidence-based decisions to strengthen frontline healthcare.
